About Us

Sierra Building Science, Inc. (SBSI) was opened in September of 2005 to provide a permanent training location for topics related to residential HVAC and energy efficiency. It is directed by Russell King, P.E., a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience with HVAC design/diagnostics and energy efficiency.

We offer training in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We have a classroom that comfortably seats up to 30 students and a hands-on area with a variety of diagnostic equipment and displays.

We are located in historic Old Town Sacramento. We are only 15 minutes from the Sacramento International Airport (SMF). We are a bit tricky to find but once you do find us, youll be glad you did. There are plenty of good hotels, dozens of restaurants, shopping, tourist attractions, museums and many fun things to do within walking distance. We highly recommend that you take some extra time to see the area while you are here.
